Adjustment Tailor Made Tours

Tours Made by us are adjustable With 4-5 days. We will plan your trip according to your interest, time and budget. This may include trips to high mountains, lakes, caves, natural hot-pools, traditional villages and temples. In addition you may learn Hindi, Yoga, and, or singing meditation on the way. You may find yourself far away from the stresses of home, deep in the Himalayas valleys, amongst our beautiful magical culture.

Bagpeckers Treat
We offer a special treat for Bagpeckers for trekking as they are mostly students and often have a limited budget. I have learnt a lot from bagpeckers as they have made me a good Guide .Because many years ago I could not speak English and had no idea about western organised world. I could travel in U.K. Nepal and other parts of India because of all these people same time who became very good friends. This grace goes to all these people who have mat with me through my tourism business I am very thankful to them.

What to Take on High Altitude Treks
Please travel lightly and bring with you a small day bag and a strong rucksack or dufflebag, which will be carried by Yaks or horses.
Essentials should include 2 T-shirts, 2 pairs of warm trousers, (jeans are not advisable) thermal trousers or long-johns, a warm jumper, hat, gloves and socks and a windproof and waterproof jacket. An umbrella can be useful for rain or sunshine. In addition please bring sunglasses, sunscreen, a personal first aid kit, a walking stick, water-bottle and water purification tablets, a penknife and torch and spare batteries for electrical items. Optional extras could include a towel, toilet paper, matches and some small plastic bags to carry rubbish until we find a suitable disposal site.

What We Provide
All transport, meals: breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinks (non alchoholic), food will be vegetarian and will include eggs and ayurvedic herbs. We provide the tents sharing ( on special request single tents are available on extra cost) sleeping bags, we advise you to bring yours too for high treks, camping mats, (no pillows) cups, plates etc and the horses and yaks that will carry the equipment. It is better if you bring your sleeping bags and mats too.

Co-operation
It is helpful and essential for everyone on the trek to work as a group together and to consider the needs of your fellow trekkers, guide and staff and adjust with each other. This may mean helping to pitch the tents or folding your own sleeping bags.

Best time for Trekking
Himachel Pradesh – May and June, September and October.
Ladakh and Zanskar – May to October
Trekking Permits
It is necessary for all foreigners to have Trekking Permits for some areas. Dream-catcher Tours will help you to acquire them, usually 3 passport sized photographs and 2 photocopies of passport and visa are needed.

Travel Insurance
Whether you are going alone or with us, it is important to check that your Insurance covers any trekking accidents, sickness and loss of belongings.Which responsibility we don’t take.

Documents
It is advisable to wrap your original passport and air ticket in a waterproof bag to prevent them from getting wet on the trek. You will be asked to show them at many entry points. Please photocopy your passport, visa and air ticket before you go trekking, Dream-catcher Tours will keep one copy safely while you are away, you should take at least one copy with you as you may need it to acquire further permits.

Valuables
Please be vigilant at all times, especially around the camp-site, which may be visited by Local people. Drugs Warning We advise you not to join Locals who may seem friendly and want to entertain you with marijuana and drinks. If found with marijuana in your bags, there are extremely severe penalties.

Altitude Sickness
Altitude is of paramount importance to India trekking tours, our food is especially chosen to help you with adapting to the high altitudes and our camps are arranged at fair distances. It is advisable to keep sipping water (contains oxygen) and not to walk too fast or push your body after 3,500 metres, otherwise it can be very dangerous. Ultimately, if you feel unwell, do not hide your symptoms and our guides will find every possible solution on the spot.

First Aid Kit
India trekking tours carries a first aid kit. Normal madicine, plasters and our guides have knowledge about local herbs and massage to make you feel better.

Payment
When you book your tour a 50 % deposit will be payable (25% refundable, if cancellation before 48 hours of the start and all if cancellation before 3 weeks). The 50 % balance is payable at the end of the trek in Indian rupees.

Tips
If you would like to pay tips to the cook, horseman, porter or guide, please pay them separately, 50 - 500 rupees each (or foreign cash) at the end of the trip.
Responsibility
Dream-catcher tours are concerned with your safety, happiness and will promise to take every care of you on your trek. If however there is an accident, we will help as much as possible, but unfortunately India trekking tours can take no responsibility, but we are responsible for your quality of time.
