School trekking Expeditions and community development projects in the Himalayas:
Every year, Treks India takes many School Group Expeditions from Overseas and India. These Expeditions include adventure and cultural activities and is a chance of a life time for the Students to have physical challenges and great fun, while working in the school. They can gain confidence and experience and learn how other children study and live in the Himalayas.
Expeditions can last from two weeks to five weeks and the whole trip is divided into three phases.
A) Local Sightseeing and City tours.
B) Work on a School or Village project with local students or villagers, experiencing local traditions and cultural programmes.
C) Adventure Expeditions and Activities: Trekking, Camping, Rafting, Cycling and other Sports.
These Projects are helpful for the Students’ personal development.
We look after all the Projects and Trekking Expeditions. We select a school for the project, get permission and support from local villagers and authorities, and provide the field team, equipment, transport and accommodation. Students work for a week or two sharing their culture, sports and other activities with the village, as well as contributing some money towards the school, to improve the life of the students.
Adventure Expeditions
Student Adventure Expeditions last from a week to three weeks. They can include Camping, Rafting, Day Hikes, Trekking, Rock Climbing and Cycling. Activity hours and days are well planned and arranged. Our kitchen staff, porters or horses, and instructors are with the Students to support them at every stage. Transport, safety issues and other rescue measures are well arranged. These trekking routes are well planned and always lead to safe, breath-taking amazing places, where children are free from pollution and other hassles of towns. It is a great opportunity for children to be in the silence of the Himalayas
How to know more about our Expeditions?
Many schools invite me for a 40 minute talk and slideshow presentation and that’s the best way to learn about the Expeditions and destinations.
It cost £60 pounds plus expenses, if you are interested in the talk and presentation. Or you can raise money for our Asra Charity.
