Hights of Shikari Devi And 4 lakes (7 Days)
The Tour begins either from Shimla, Tattapani .
Day 1 – Drive to Chindi to Shanthal.
Travel to Chindi, a peaceful village at 2000 metres, from Shimla (4 hours) from Tattapani (1 ½ hours). Trek through apple orchards and forests to camping ground at 2,500 metres. (1 ½ hours) We pitch the tents and Stay over night nearby the family house..
Day 2 – Ascent from Campsite to Shikari Peak (3,200 metres)
After breakfast, we leave our campsite and the 4 hour walk up the mountain path, through beautiful forests of alpine and oak, swamp land and valleys, stopping for a picnic lunch on the way, arriving at Shikari Peak 3,200 metres, in time to pitch our tents and cook supper on the camp fire.
(There is also an option to stay in a Mountain Hut and eat with a local family) From Shikari Peak you may see wonderful views above the clouds, a beautiful sunset and the stars at night. This place is really peaceful and far from every where And you can have view of all snow caped mountains. There is an old temple dedicated to the Goddess Shikari Devi.
Day 3 - (Option 1) – Janjeli : Trek from Shikari Peak to Jangeli. This is a beautiful Village famous for its greenry and its terrace farms a beautiful village with wonderful wood houses.(Nr Mandi) (3 – 4 hours) Camp over night.
Day 3 - (Option 2) : Trek from Shikari Peak to Kamru Nag (Lord of snake)Temple (5 –6 hours). This trek is real;y beautiful and you visit some Trible village and walk through the beautiful velleys and forest. Camp over night by the Lake at Kamru .
Day 4 - (Option 3) Mandi : Today we will desend from Kamru Nag Temple to Rohanda (3 hours).And after Drive to Mandi 3-4 Hours then take car or bus to Mandi. Evening time Visit old Temples By the Beas River which are 1500 years old As Mandi is famous for 81 temple made with different Archecture., Tower bridge which was built in the 16th century. Over night stay in Mandi Break from Tents.
Day 5 - Rewalser lake and Budhist Caves- Today we drive to Rewalser lake. Which is famous for its Holiness Gurus Who visited this place Many times. Special thing of this Place is its famous for Three Relesions Sikh, Hindus and Budhist. In this place we make walk around the lake where many Monks doing this Holi walk whole day long.
And after this place we walk up to the Caves of Budha and 7 Lakes and a Hindu Godess Temple you can see beautiful view from this place.After desend and drive back to Mandi and shopping in a beautiful market. Mandi is Intersting Indian town. Over night stay in Mandi.
Day 6 - Parasher Lake-. Today after break fast Drive to Bagi village and start Trek with our day bags.3 Hours through beautiful Green forests and visit some tribale families in the way.The families who lives with animals in summer up on the mountain and in winter down in the velley. This lake is a beautiful Place with a ancint Temple with Shanku Slate Roof 3 stories. In the Holi Lake there is pice of land round moving which is a mystry.This place is a Holi shrine for Hindus.Maharishi Parasher Meditated for long time in this place. They took Smadhi their too. With His holiness and power found this very deep lake here ,This is very peace ful place. You will have very close view over looking of snow caped Dholadhar Himalayas Ranges. Camp over night.
Day 7 - Pandow Lake - Today we desend to lake Pandow through beautiful view over looking to Sunder Nagar and Mandi.3-4 hours and spend little time by the lake. After you drive to your next destination Manali Or Dharmshala. Stay in hotal.
